On Saturday afternoon, for the second consecutive season  Brentford  will play  the final of the Championship Play Offs  at  Wembley ; last year the company failed, being defeated in the derby with  Fulham . Now a new attempt in the challenge with the Swansea Welsh  .

The precedent of the Aston Villa

From the parts of the Community they hope that the Bees will be able to follow the same path as Aston Villa: the Villans in fact in the 2017/18 season reached the final with Fulham , after having eliminated Middlesbrough in the semifinals , losing by measure access to the Premier League with the Londoners, a goal from Tom Cairney on an assist from Ryan Sessegnon decided the match .

The following year they returned to the appointment at  Wembley  and after having passed West Brom on penalties in the semifinals, they met Derby County in the final; goals from  Anwar El Ghazi  and  John McGinn  brought the Premier League to Birmingham.

The similarities with Brentford’s path give  Bees  fans hope  : in common the defeat in the final of the previous season and also the opponent from which the defeat came:  Fulham .

It will be an open and hard-fought challenge, the  Bees  can count not only on the similarities with the Aston Villa path, but on a truly first-rate attack, with at least six players who can alternate alongside top scorer  Ivan Toney , with the 79 goals scored. the  Brentford  is training with the greatest number of goals scored in the season, more than I realized by promoted Norwich and Watford.
